
Hostility from the United Kingdom which led up to last week's VAT announcement is a very good argument for the Isle of Man seeking full independence.
So says Mec Vannin, the Manx nationalist party, which has long argued the Island suffers because of its relationship with the UK.
After the 'bombshell' that the Island will have to deal with a £90 million budget shortfall in the next financial year, and £140 million a year thereafter, Mark Kermode claims more people are taking the suggestion very seriously.
