Conister Trust, a long-established name in the Manx finance sector, has relaunched itself as Conister Bank.
Behind the scenes nothing has changed, but the new name better reflects what the firm does, namely take deposits and lend cash to the domestic and commercial markets.
The newly-named Consiter Bank was launched at a reception in Douglas last night.
In its 74-year history in the Island, the company has been seen as a barometer of the health of the local economy.
Managing director Simon Hull says confidence here is very good, despite the downturn and fears over the loss of VAT revenues:
