In a further bid to keep you updated and informed, the Isle of Man Fire Service has launched a new Facebook page.
That's in addition to the website and Twitter feed it already operates.
Sub Officer Peter Killey of the Community Safety Team says the use of social media has increased significantly in recent years and it recognises the potential of it to help promote its services.
He says the Facebook page will give members of the public an insight into the work carried out by fire officers to ensure the Isle of Man remains a safe place to live and work.
Although the page will be updated on a frequent basis, officers say it will not be monitored around the clock and you should still dial 999 to report an emergency.
