Douglas Council has announced it has a new mayor-elect.
At a special private meeting held at Douglas Town Hall yesterday, Councillor Stan Cain was selected as Mayor for the coming municipal year.
The selection will still need to be confirmed at the local authority’s Annual Council Meeting on Wednesday, May 14.
Councillor Cain, who represents Athol Ward, lives in Willaston and is a businessman.
