The newest member of the House of Keys has been sworn-in, at a ceremony steeped in tradition.
Chris Robertshaw took his seat in Tynwald, after taking oaths of allegiance to the Queen, and to carry out his duties as an MHK honourably and without fear or favour.
The new member for Douglas East was then welcomed by the Speaker of the Keys Steve Rodan, who said constituents had placed great faith in him to represent their interests fairly.
He told Mr Robertshaw he was now in a position of great privilege, following a long tradition:

Immigration changes designed to stop exploitation by 'bad eggs'
Contingency budget for horse tram tracks 'significantly increased'
Nursery group wants to 'bridge the gap' for families of two-year-olds
Orchestra hoping to attract 'different kind of audience' at next concert
Planning Committee says temporary dental unit at hospital is 'government failure'
