There are currently no plans for any compulsory redundancies following the merger of the Manx Electricity Authority and the Manx Water Authority.
That's according to the chairman of what is now known as the Manx Utilities Authority which came into being on April 1st in an effort to cut costs.
However, chairman Alf Cannan says whilst they are aiming to save money, that doesn't necessarily mean jobs will have to go.
