Commonwealth Games taking place in April
There are currently no plans to send any political members or public servants from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to the Commonwealth Games.
That's according to a response to a Freedom of Information request.
The Gold Coast in Australia is hosting the games, which take place between 4 and 15 April this year.
Last year, the Department of Education and Children, as it was at the time, spent around £3,600 of taxpayers' money on sending minister Graham Cregeen and chief executive Ronald Barr to the Island Games in Gotland.
