Shadow cabinet members were invited says Rodan
There was no snub of the UK Labour party from the Tynwald Day guest list, according to Tynwald President Steve Rodan.
He says senior members of the shadow cabinet were invited to appear at the ceremony, which takes place on Friday next week, but were unable to attend.
The full list of Tynwald Day guests has been published and includes MPs from both the Conservative and Liberal Democrat parties.
Representatives from the parliaments of Norway, Iceland, Scotland and the Cayman Islands will also attend the ceremony at St John's.
