Policy and Reform Minister says cost to economy too great
There will be no public holiday on election day.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas dismissed the suggestion in this week's sitting of the House of Keys.
Ramsey member Lawrie Hooper asked whether he'd considered giving Manx voters the day off work in a bid to increase turnout during elections.
