Fees suspended since April 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic
There are no plans to reintroduce car parking charges for civil servants.
Public sector car parking payments have been suspended since April 2020 as result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas confirmed, in a Tynwald written answer, that more than £230,000 in charges were paid in the car parks between April 2016 and March 2019.
The charges were halted while government employees were working from home during lockdown but the minister says it's not currently in the pipeline to bring them back in.
