Housing chair says it's not deemed appropriate at this time
There are currently no plans to employ an empty property officer for the Island, according to the chair of the housing and communities board.
In the House of Keys this week, David Ashford was asked what progress has been made in bringing on someone to take up the position going forward.
He revealed the matter has previously been considered as far back as September 2022.
However, Mr Ashford adds it was decided that recruiting additional resources in this area is not thought to be the best approach when government is 'addressing efficiences':
