Deep clean underway at Ballacottier primary
An outbreak of the norovirus has lead to the precautionary closure of Ballacottier School tomorrow (31 Mar)
In a letter to parents, head teacher Carol Walsh explains many students and staff have caught the winter vomiting bug, with Public Health advising the school shut it's doors for a 'deep clean' and to avoid spreading infection.
The school is expected to open as usual on Monday but children who still have symptoms are being told not to return to class until 48 hours after the virus has passed.
