
There wouldn't be enough business to go round if the taxi trade was controlled by an all-Island authority.
So says Ramsey commissioner Leonard Singer after the northern board joined Douglas Borough Council in the fight against deregulation.
The local authority is reaffirming its opposition to the long discussed idea, which Mr Singer believes would have a detrimental impact on the north:
