Lawrie Hooper resigned as DHSC minister last week
The chief minister has hit back at comments made by the former health minister calling him 'disingenuous' for continuing to make broader comments about the Council of Ministers' position.
Over the weekend Lawrie Hooper told Manx Radio Perspective programme CoMin ‘completely ignored’ information provided by Manx Care about the impact on service delivery if cuts were made.
Speaking on Manx Radio's Breakfast this morning (21 October), Alfred Cannan says it's important people aren't distracted by the exchange of views over the week but instead understand the issues faced by Manx Care and the solutions.
He says it's irresponsible and in some ways unethical for the former minister to let costs rise after bringing in a tax increase:
