55-year-old pleads guilty to charge
A Douglas nurse has admitted indecently assaulting a teenager who attended the same church.
Fifty-five-year-old Reynaldo Tagic Estoque of Central Promenade appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to a single charge of indecent assault at his home on 17 September.
Prosecution advocate Roger Kane told the hearing Estoque had met the 17 year old man at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Douglas.
When the two met by chance in Strand Street, Estoque bought the man a meal before inviting him home to play music.
Once there, Estoque began making suggestive remarks before kissing the young man’s neck and touching his groin despite his advances being rebuffed.
Magistrates asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared before he appears again on 22 June.
They bailed him in the sum of £500, with conditions he doesn’t try to contact his victim or attend the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
