Rian funding herself to help those less fortunate
A nurse and yoga teacher on the Isle of Man has decided to 'up sticks' for the winter and swap Noble's Hospital for rural Uganda.
Rian Gale is embarking on a 6 week volunteer placement in the African country this November - she'll be working at a vaccination and HIV clinic and educating workers on heath practices.
The trip's been entirely funded by Ms Gale and her husband through open air yoga sessions, kayaking and other charity events.
Skills and education are in high demand in Uganda, one of the least developed countries in the world.
Rian says it'll be an eye-opening experience
You can help Rian fund her placement and fulfil her aim of helping people in one of the poorest parts of the world by visiting her page on the donation website gofundme.com
