Police ask public to do civic duty
Police in Douglas say extensive inquiries carried out into reports an elderly woman was walking along a main road dressed only in nightwear, have drawn a blank.
An alert was issued yesterday (19 Dec) after a member of the public reported concerns to police, after seeing the pensioner on Glencrutchery Road dressed in pyjamas and slippers.
No one was reported missing and officers believe the woman made her way home safely.
They've asked members of the public in future to keep an eye on anyone they're concerned about in a similar situation, until services arrive.
