Manx Wildlife Trust reveals it's received a report of a seal pup being touched
Disturbing seal pups can cause serious harm.
That's from the Manx Wildlife Trust, which received a report of a seal pup being touched in the south of the Island this week, causing its mother to flee into the water.
It says mothers may be injured while fleeing, or they may abandon their pups entirely - leaving them to starve.
We spoke to the charity's Marine Conservation Officer, Dr Lara Howe, who has this message:
