Fire crews were called out to help find and assist an off-road motorbike rider who ran into difficulties in Ballaugh yesterday (Sunday).
The incident happened shortly before 2pm at Ballacobb when the rider came off his bike, receiving chest and shoulder injuries.
Two specialist off-road vehicles used by the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service were needed to take paramedics to the man and carry him back.
Crews from Kirk Michael and Douglas fire stations were at the scene for around an hour.
