Consultation to run prior to planning application
Orsted's proposal for a substantial windfarm six miles off the east cost of the Island are to go out for public consultation.
The Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm would cover an area of around 250 square kilometres.
The public consultation, in advance of the planning application will run from the 15th of July to the 11th of September.
As part of the process a series of public consultation events are being held around the Island, at:
- Laxey Glen Pavilion on the 18th of July
- Ramsey Courthouse on the 19th of July
- The Old Market Hall, Douglas on the 6th of August
- Corrin Hall, Peel on the 7th of August
- Bradda Glen Cafe on the 8th of August.
All events will run between 2pm and 7pm.
