No response from David Quirk
The chairman of the Office of Fair Trading, Onchan MHK David Quirk, is staying tight-lipped about billing changes announced by Manx Gas.
Earlier this week the company unveiled a new billing structure that raises the standing charge while reducing the price per unit of gas.
Manx Gas said the changes were being brought in after scrutiny from the OFT.
Manx Radio has made repeated requests to Mr Quirk for interview about the charges and their effects – however, so far he has not been available to answer questions.
