Always make sure anybody doing work for you is a professional, qualified and certified.
That’s the advice from the Office of Fair Trading after 72-year-old Francis Hannigan was prosecuted for servicing fire extinguishers unsafely.
Chairman David Quirk MHK says the case highlights the dangers of allowing people to carry out work without knowing whether they’re competent to do so.

Island warned to expect heavy rain this afternoon
Jurby landowner working with planning and Bus Vannin on future shelter provision
'We wouldn’t have it any other way’
Ramsey Tesco to 'open as normal' following incident
