108-year-old Evelyn Teare passed away last week
Less than a month after celebrating her 108th birthday, the woman believed to be the oldest resident on the Isle of Man has died.
According to her family, Evelyn Teare passed away last week (16 November) with her granddaughter by her side at Grove Mount Residential Home in Ramsey.
Mrs Teare, who was born in Pune, India in 1917, studied nursing in the UK and then moved to the Isle of Man with her Manx born husband, Douglas Teare, in 1976.
Evelyn had three sons, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
