Newspaper deliveries set to continue despite closure
2025 has been branded the 'end of an era' for a business in Onchan.
N.A Fargher Newsagent, which has been run by three generations of the Fargher family, is to shut after 'decades of service to the village'.
The shop, which first opened in the 1920s, will close its doors on 1 February.
In an open letter Graham Fargher says the building has been sold and 'the new owners intend to convert the premises back into a private residence'.
Despite the storefront's imminent closure, the family says they are committed to continue newspaper deliveries 'into the future'.
They say they will provide further information in the coming weeks.
