Seventy-year-old Margaret Brown's NSC challenge today
A 70 year old Onchan resident is attempting to complete an indoor triathlon at the National Sports Centre today.
Margaret Brown, a former vice-chair of the Isle of Man Sports Council, plans to run, cycle and then swim for 70 minutes each – that's three and a half hours of continuous exercise.
She had intended to do the challenge in May to coincide with her 70th birthday, but the Covid 19 lockdown prevented that happening.
Margaret is raising money for Mannin Cancers and Asthma Research.
Her Triathlon Challenge starts on the treadmill at the NSC gym at 10am, followed by the exercise bike which will be in the reception area from 11.15-12.25 and then on to the pool.
She says while she's from a sporty family, it doesn't come easily to her:
