Essential maintenance work is being carried out for two weeks
A one-way system has been put in place on Peel Road out of Douglas.
Manx Utilities are undertaking essential sewage maintenance work on the route from the junction with Athol Street to Circular Road.
Parking will be suspended along all of St Georges Street and the layby opposite the Brown Bobby filling station.
The authority says it's working with the Department of Infrastructure, and other utilities, to avoid the need for further traffic disruption in the area in the near future.
The one-way system will be in place until 14 August.
