Show secretary asks people to be patient
The Southern Agricultural Show is officially underway.
As well as livestock competitions and garden produce displays, this year's event includes a performance from the Purple Helmets, a Lawnmower Grand Prix and a treasure hunt.
The show takes place at Great Meadow today and tomorrow between 10am and 6pm.
A one-way system is in place today for the event from 10am until 5pm.
