More than 9,000 Island work permits have been issued or renewed over the past 12 months.
The figure was revealed by Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney in response to a Tynwald question from Michael MHK David Cannan.
The answer included a breakdown, country by country, of the individual’s nationalities with 67 countries featured, excluding the UK.
Mr Cannan (picured) believes it’s inevitable and illustrates the change in culture in communities such as the Isle of Man:
Sailings cancelled due to predicted gales
Have your say on the future of the Island's plantations
Warning for 'disorderly' parents attending schools
Yellow weather warning for gale force winds
New board members sought for abattoir
