Government launches survey to inform future decision making

Parents and carers on the Isle of Man are being asked to share their views about childcare.

Government has launched the Childcare Survey for people with youngsters aged up to 11.

It asks for opinions on informal and formal care, holiday provision, affordability, additional needs and the impact arrangements can have on work, study and family life.

Feedback will help the Department of Education, Sport and Culture make future decisions.

Minister Daphne Caine said: “Childcare plays an important role in supporting children’s development, family life and parents’ ability to work or study.

“We want to hear directly from families about their experiences so that any future decisions are informed by the needs of parents, carers and children across the Island.”

The consultation will close on 20 July - you can fill it in HERE.
