Canteen worker tells Manx Radio portions have been shrinking for 18 months
Parents would be 'very disappointed' if they saw what their children were being provided with for lunch at school.
That's from a canteen worker at one of the Island's schools, who contacted Manx Radio after the education minister discussed recent menu changes in the House of Keys.
Julie Edge says reducing carbohydrates provided to pupils has come following advice from public health and dieticians.
But in a statement voiced by Manx Radio, the canteen worker says portions have been shrinking over the last 18 months because of the price of some items:

Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Tim Glover is urging the Department of Education, Sport and Culture to look again at the recent changes:
In response, the Department of Education, Sport and Culture told Manx Radio "the menus for primary school meals in the Isle of Man are developed in accordance with guidance issued by the UK Department for Education titled ‘School Food Standards Practical Guide’. The menus are regularly reviewed."
