Works in Ballabeg to be done again
Arbory parishioners are disappointed and frustrated over the announcement roadworks at Friary Park in Ballabeg will need to be done again.
That's according to the chair of the local authority Jane Glover.
It comes after the Department of Infrastructure has 'identified issues with the standard of workmanship' on a scheme at the entrance to the estate, which needs to be corrected.
The contractor has been asked by the DOI to address the problem at its own cost, with further work expected to begin in the New Year.
Confusion over road closures and bus services, and a long delay to completing the original scheme have left many villagers feeling fed up with the project.
Mrs Glover says she's glad the department is ensuring the project is being completed to the right standard, and is glad work won't take place over the Christmas period.
