Organisers pleased annual event can take place
One of the highlights in the summer calendar for the west of the Island is going ahead this year.
Peel Carnival will take place on Sunday, 2 August.
It's billed as a fun day for all the family, with sandcastle competitions, live music, a display by the Purple Helmets and the all-important parade.
Carnival Chair Ian Baker says it came very close to being cancelled for the first time since 1952:
