Giving in to protest could breed 'anarchy'
A Peel commissioner says a 'vocal minority' is behind recent protests over Peel Marketplace regeneration.
Alan Jones says plans for the scheme were widely circulated and a full consultation held - plans were displayed in the town hall and notices sent to traders, residents and the media.
Locals unhappy at the scheme's design and materials have held two demonstrations in town recently.
But Mr Jones claims only a handful of people offered feedback during the consultation, and their views were contradictory.
The Commissioner says the proper process was followed - and to give in to the demands of protestors would lead to anarchy:
