Its general rate will be raised to 275 pence in the pound
Peel Commissioners has agreed to increase its general rate for the next financial year by three pence in the pound.
Chair Ray Harmer says the local authority has tried to be 'prudent' with its increase and balance the needs of the businesses in the town as well as those in social housing.
The commissioners are also raising the refuse charge, which includes the bin collection and amenity site fee, by £11 - which means residents will pay a flat payment of £274.
Mr Harmer says the new general rate of 275p will support future projects and regular maintenance around the town.
