Organisers are hoping for 400 dippers
Today's New Year's Day dip in Peel will be the 40th anniversary of the event.
The tradition began when, on New Year's Eve in 1982, a group of four friends decided to dip the next day, raising £50 for the MS Society.
Fast forward 40 years, and a total of £250,000 has been raised for Manx charities.
This year's event is in aid of Peel RNLI, MS Society IOM and Hospice.
It's at midday.
