The A4 from Peel to Kirk Michael Road at Glen Wyllin will close from 9am for emergency tree felling
The Department of Infrastructure says it's necessary following a recent inspection that found several dead or diseased trees at risk of falling onto the road.
Traffic between Peel and Kirk Michael will be diverted onto the A3 Ramsey to Castletown Road, Cronk Y Voddy, Ballig and Poortown Road.
Access to and from Cooil Dharry will be via the Peel side of the works.
The roads expected to reopen by 3.30pm.
