Additional £10m in funding was shot down this week
Members of the public – and Tynwald members – have lost faith in government’s handling of the new Isle of Man Ferry Terminal in Liverpool.
That’s the view of Rushen MHK, and Speaker of the House of Keys, Juan Watterson who, this week, successfully managed to adjourn a debate into allocating an additional £10 million for the project.
Dr Alex Allinson argued that the money would act as a buffer, as the ultimate cost has not yet been finalised.
But Mr Watterson says the amount of money spent so far is already more than triple what was originally agreed:
