Meeting to discuss Queens Pier
The first in a series of public meetings to discuss the future of an Island landmark takes place tonight (Wednesday).
Ambitious plans to restore the Queen’s Pier in Ramsey are in the hands of the Queen's Pier Restoration Trust which hopes it will be a community project.
It plans to survey the pier and complete a risk assessment of its work, after which it will be given a three-year lease to start work on restoring the first 50 metres of the Victorian structure, which closed in 1991.
Corrin Hall in Derby Road in Peel is the venue for the first meeting tonight, at 7.30pm.
