Proposals out to consultation
Trucks and lorries parked in residential areas could soon be a thing of the past, under new rules proposed by the Department of Infrastructure.
The department has launched a five-week consultation into new regulations which – among other things – would allow heavy vehicles to be ticketed for parking illegally.
Minister Phil Gawne says he understands people feel strongly about the issue and he’s had a number of complaints to the department.
And by making it easier to take action, he hopes to put a stop to it:
