Dandara wants to build on land near Lake Road
A planning application has been submitted to build more than 100 new apartments in Douglas.
Dandara wants to develop the residential properties on land it owns near the Lake Road Tesco store.
The site, running alongside the River Douglas, is currently used as a temporary car park.
Under the Area Plan for the East the land is allocated for mixed uses.
In total, the application seeks detailed planning approval for a residential development of 109 apartments with associated car parking and open space.
The company says: 'the development would provide new housing for which there is a current need, and as well as providing First Time Buyer dwellings on site it will generate a financial contribution towards affordable housing need on the Island.'
