Officers respond to reports of fire at the top of Mill Road
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after reports of a fire at the top of Mill Road in Greeba this morning (Sunday 27 October).
Officers say they have located insulation board and other building materials at the scene.
A white van and a car were seen driving back down Mill Road towards Main Road, Greeba between 8:30am and 9am today.
The Constabulary says the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture will be notified and an investigation will take place into those responsible for the fire.
It says: "This is not only a criminal offence, it is also damaging to the environment [and] also blights our island.
"This kind of act by those responsible is likely to be repeated."
