Police are investigating a tent fire in the back garden of a house in Port Erin.
It happened at a property in the Pony Fields estate in the early hours of Monday morning.
There was nobody in the tent at the time and officers are trying to establish how it may have started.
Gary Williams of the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says the tent had been put in the back garden for the children to sleep in during the school holidays.
He says the consequences of a person being in this tent at the time of the fire don’t bear thinking about.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have either seen or heard anything suspicious in the area at that time to come forward.
Call Port Erin Police Station on 832222, speak to any police officer or email snpt@gov.im if you can help.
