People receiving emails saying TV licence has been cancelled
Police are warning the public about a new online scam doing the rounds.
People are being contacted via email, telling them their TV licence has been cancelled and providing them with a page to pay a renewal fee.
Like many other scams, it's based on an existing website, making it look genuine, but includes some subtle changes.
Police Cyber Inspector Gav Callow says if you receive an unexpected email about your TV licence being cancelled, ignore it:
