Treasury Minister says Island still needs to attract more people
Population growth on the Isle of Man has been slower than needed to support Manx businesses, according to the treasury minister.
Alex Allinson was discussing government's efforts to increase the population and the work permit system during Manx Radio's Budget Programme.
Efforts to attract 15,000 new residents to the Island by 2037 was one of the aims set out in government's economic strategy in 2022.
While Minister Allinson says there has been evidence of growth, there still needs to be a focus on attracting more people to the Island:
