Vessel towed to deeper waters after running aground
Port Erin Lifeboat was called out yesterday after reports of an engine fire on a 45ft sailing yacht.
After running aground in Port Erin bay, lifeboat crews towed the vessel to deeper waters.
The boat's skipper was said to be in good health with no injuries, and opted to stay onboard the vessel overnight.
IOM Marine Operations kept communication every hour throughout the night.
