The Chief Minister says he has full confidence in the Department of Home Affairs to sort out a number of problems in the run up to populating the new prison at Jurby.
Earlier this week prison officers complained they were not fully trained in the set up of the new jail, and that their allowances for travelling to and from Jurby didn't compare with other government workers, including politicians.
Now, a small number of prisoners are refusing some meals, over the ban on smoking.
Tony Brown (pictured) says whenever there are changes there will be issues, but he believes they will be resolved:
