Members of the Island's prison community have contributed funds towards the treatment of a young boy from Douglas who has a serious condition which is affecting his physical development.
Three prison officers and the same number of inmates raised a total of £1,000 for Aziz Sharpe through their efforts on the prison's annual sponsored walk.
They completed the Millennium Way from Castletown to Sky Hill, with a member of staff acting as support driver.
Last June, Aziz's parents began using a learning programme for brain-injured children, run by the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential in Philadelphia.
The money raised by the prison will go towards the family's next trip.
Aziz will be three next month.
