A group of intrepid swimmers are set to make sea swimming a spectator sport in the south of the Island this week.
Tonight sees the first of three 'bay swims', organised as part of the Queenie Festival.
Swimmers who aren't put off by wind, waves or jellyfish will be making their way across Gansey Bay, while queenie lovers tuck into the delicacy and enjoy festival events at the Shore Hotel.
On Friday, the team will tackle Port Erin Bay, with the third and final bay swim off Chapel Beach in Port St Mary on Sunday.
One of the organisers, Mark Gorry, says sea swimming is hard work so they have taken some major factors into account:

Creamery managing director to leave role
Fast-tracked legislation was designed to close 'loophole of expanding problem'
Farmers 'feeling the squeeze' more than ever says MNFU
Too soon to say if Finnish TT rider will have permanent vision problems
MLC given leave to introduce bill to tackle gazumping and gazundering
