This morning’s (Wednesday) Manx Grand Prix racing is due to go ahead on time, despite an accident which has closed part of the course.
Shortly after 8am this morning, police said the accident would lead to the closure of Signpost Corner to Governor’s Bridge until 10am.
However, the Douglas bound carriageway from Signpost Corner to Governor's Bridge is now open for Douglas bound traffic only.
The Mountain Circuit will close as planned at 9.30am with racing due to get underway at 10.15am.
The road from the Crosby pub to Marown TV is badly congested and police are advising motorists to use alternative routes.
