Officers tackle house fire
Firefighters spent two hours tackling a blaze at a house in Ramsey yesterday.
Two pumps were dispatched after reports of thick smoke in a downstairs bedroom.
Upon arrival it was discovered nobody was in the property - but officers required breathing equipment to fight the flames.
Though the Fire and Rescue Service is reluctant to speculate on what caused the blaze, it's reiterated the importance of having working smoke alarms fitted in the home.
